Fish House Model, circa 1911

In 1927, the HRBRRD went around the Sacandaga Valley, putting elevation stakes in. Any structure that was below the 770 feet elevation line had to be moved or torn down before 1930. Much of the hamlet of Fish House was affected. 12 houses were moved, 6 were torn down. The model on the left was made for the Fish House Historical House Tour in 2012. It is now located in the Fish House Community Center. It shows which houses were moved and to where, which houses don't exist anymore and how the roads were altered. 40 structures are identified on the map. There is an information sheet for them that can be found on the page dedicated to this map. Please be patient, as that page is still under construction.
