    * Grinnell House- Alexander St. John could not have built this house for his granddaughter, Parnell, because he died before she was married.  After researching this, it appears that he built it for his daughter, Elizabeth who married Nathanial Wescot in 1810.  Later, after 1841, Elizabeth and Nathanial's daughter, Parnell, took up residence in this house with her husband, C.S. Grinnell.
